We recently had the pleasure of hosting Austin Evans, one of the most entertaining tech reviewers on YouTube. Austin brought his curiosity and enthusiasm to Creative Electron for a factory tour. We all had a great time, minds were blown, and a bit of learning occurred as well.
Eye opening images
Austin’s tech videos are a lot of fun, and there’s plenty of joking around, but behind all that is a ton of tech knowledge. It’s his genuine understanding of pretty complex technology that made the high-resolution X-ray images we shared so impressive to him and his team. Like so many of our customers who commonly remark “I didn’t know you could do that with X-ray,” it’s fair to say Austin’s eyes were opened to all the possibilities. We dare say, his mind was sufficiently blown.
Look Ma! I can drive an X-ray machine!
In our experience, it’s always been a challenge to convey just how easy our real-time X-ray systems are to use. We decide to put Austin behind the wheel, and see how quickly he could get comfortable driving one of our most powerful TruView™ X-ray machines. Not only did he take to it like a BGA to a circuit board, but he was clearly surprised and impressed with the ease of navigating live X-ray images. You’ll have to keep an eye out for his video to see his experience, but if this was the DMV, he’d have gotten his license right there on the spot.
“You can X-ray that?”
The X-ray people are fond of saying “X-ray everything.” While the most common use of our systems remains examining circuit boards and electronics assemblies, we were excited to share many of the other uses. Those include golf ball, ballistic plate, and medical device inspection, just to name a few. We even got to show off a custom system designed for reverse logistics and counterfeit interdiction, fresh off the factory floor.
We always love factory tours, but this one was just a little extra fun. If you don’t have time yourself to drop by for a tour, just subscribe to Austin Evans on YouTube and look out for his video about his experience at Creative Electron.
